while rummaging in my attic I found this old tintype of my distant relative SERGEANT JOHN BLOOMERS,
union cavalryman from the tuchumsa hill brigade
... prestigious!

there's a secret path...

right past the reflecting pond
on the trail that leads you by the amphitheater
with the 80's style graffiti covering the walls.
all who look can see the path
but who's looking?
and what do they see?
why, it's the ducks!!
marching in straight rows
swaying with each waddle
wearing teeny-weeny hardhats
with teeny-weeny lights
and teeny-weeny pick axes
off they march
proudly
along the bank of the pond
and where do they march, I heard that little girl in the back ask...?
to mine delicious powdered pizza flavoring
for 'Pringles' potato chips
they march off to the mines...
the PIZZA TASTE mines


and I smile as I ring my bell in cheer
and pedal just a bit slower
through the park
past the reflecting pool
towards the underpass
and out into my vacation.

i enjoyed the music that night

notice my homage to ian flemming
when asking myself,
"what do i put between his arms..?"
my itunes replied with an angelicly fruity lullaby

it really did turn-out pretty cool
we did a TON of work on it... and i hope it shows!
our old buddy Dan also helped-out and did some BG's for us

here's some OG scenes
from the 2nd pilot
i did layouts for these scenes
so it kinda looks like the way I was drawing Robot in the beginning

for those of us who are too 'cool' to carry around a sketchbook, but still gay enough to draw in public, there's always BAR NAPKINS. drawing on these flimsy paper rags with a bic pen is quite a challenge, especially if you like to 'shark it' (to apply excessive force with writing impliment while drawing)
but, alcohol sometimes makes for fun doodles:
*document happenings around you at the bar...
*come-up with new cartoon ideas...
*or, pretend to do some work...

YAY!

so, back when I was doing my first storyboards, I used to experement with using different pens and pencils... I actually still do this!
each of my storyboards tends to be a slice of what was going on with my life at the time... and it shows in the art.
here's an old 'Cow and Chicken' storyboard i did all in red PILOT precice V7 pen... trying to get really cool back in 1998(I think):
